Preparing for your Interview Experience

Congratulations on your invitation to interview with WashU Medicine! We look forward to meeting you and sharing more about our school and the Gateway Curriculum. Your interview will take place virtually.

You will be on your way to a successful interview experience by completing the following steps:

1. Choose your interview date at mdapply.washu.edu. Once logged into your account, choose “Interview” and select an interview date from the Interview Calendar. It is very important that you select a date where you can be available from 8:30am to 5pm CST to accommodate your interviews. You will receive an email approximately two business days prior to your interview date with your specific interview times and the names of your assigned interviewers.
2. Submit your Interview Day Photo. See mdadmissions.washu.edu/vie/interview-photo/.
3. Watch the Gateway Curriculum video. See mdadmissions.washu.edu/vie/videos/.
4. Check out your Virtual Interview Day packet. In addition to this mailing, you may visit mdadmissions.wustl.edu/vie/interview-day-packet/ for more information.
5. Plan to attend the following sessions via Zoom during the week of your interview. You do not need to specifically register or sign up. 
   • Dean’s Greeting. Offered Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4:30-5 p.m. (https://shorturl.at/AbLyJ) Please choose one session to attend, either before or after your interview. If your interview is not on a Tuesday or Wednesday, just attend a session on another date during the same week. Casual dress.
   • Meet the Students (optional). Offered Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7–8 p.m. (https://shorturl.at/QwjiF). If your interview is not on a Tuesday or Thursday, just attend a session on another date during the same week. Casual dress.
6. View our self-guided virtual campus tour. Get to know our WashU Medicine Campus and St. Louis by taking a self-guided virtual tour at https://shorturl.at/J8R20.
7. Why WashU Wednesday (optional) sessions at 5–6 p.m., beginning mid-October. You will be notified via email of the dates, topics, and how to register for these sessions. You can attend as often as you like. Recordings of select past sessions will be available on the Virtual Interview Experience webpage at mdadmissions.wustl.edu/vie/why-washu-wednesdays-2025-26/. Casual dress.
