Vice-Chair for Innovation-Anesthesiology; Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care

Omokhaye Higo, MD, MBA, FCCP, FASA, earned his medical degree from the University of Ilorin in Nigeria and subsequently served as a Research Assistant at the prestigious St. Thomas’ Hospital in London, UK. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, followed by a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Dr. Higo is board-certified in both Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. After additional training in the UK, he is listed on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council of the United Kingdom. He also holds an Executive MBA from the Olin Business School at Washington University.

Dr. Higo is an associate professor of anesthesiology and critical care and the vice chair of innovation within the Department of Anesthesiology. He is actively involved in educating the next generation of medical professionals, including medical students, residents, fellows, and student registered nurse anesthetists (SRNAs).
