Jacob Greenberg, MD, MSCI
Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery and Orthopedic Surgery
Jacob Greenberg, MD, MSCI, is an Assistant Professor and Co-Director of Patient Safety and Quality Improvement in the Washington University Department of Neurosurgery. He completed his undergraduate and medical school studies, along with a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation, at Washington University. He then stayed to complete his neurosurgical residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s hospital, including a six-month period as a registrar at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. After residency, Dr. Greenberg completed a complex spine surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, before returning to join the faculty at Washington University. Dr. Greenberg’s clinical practice focuses on the surgical management of complex spine disease, including both minimally invasive and open revision techniques. Dr. Greenberg’s research is supported by the NIH, DoD, and a variety of institutional/society sources and focuses on using informatics, digital technology, and implementation science to improve outcomes for both degenerative lumbar and cervical spine disease. Through this research program, he mentors many undergraduate, medical student, and graduate students.
