Instructor in Medicine

Erin Baum, MD, is an instructor of medicine at Washington University School of Medicine, in the Division of Hospital Medicine. She graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University Chicago, earning a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in mathematics. After graduation, she completed a year of volunteer work with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest in Seattle. She went on to earn her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, and completed internship and residency at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Hospital. She has since been a member of the hospitalist faculty, with interests in medical education and quality improvement. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, cooking, kayaking, and cuddling with her dog/cats.
