Jamie S. Kondis, MD, FAAP
Associate Professor of Pediatrics
Jamie S. Kondis, MD, FAAP, is an associate professor of pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Section on Child Abuse Pediatrics. She is a graduate of Westminster College, Fulton, Missouri and earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at Washington University/St. Louis Children’s Hospital and then served for a year as chief resident. She was among the first in the country to complete a three-year fellowship in child abuse pediatrics, which became an official subspecialty of pediatrics in 2009. Kondis is one of two child abuse pediatrics faculty at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Kondis is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Ray E. Helfer Society (for child abuse pediatrics). Her research interests include abusive head trauma, child abuse education in the community, and sex trafficking.
