Yunshuo “Caroline” Tang, MD, PhD, is currently an assistant professor of neurology and ophthalmology at Washington University in Saint Louis. She obtained both her MD and PhD from the University of California, San Francisco. She then completed her neurology residency and neuro ophthalmology fellowship at Washington University in Saint Louis. Her academic interests focus on delineating mechanisms of neural injury in chronic optic neuropathies, such as that caused by neurofibromatosis type-1 associated optic gliomas. She also has a neuro-ophthalmology clinic and sees patients with diverse problems affecting the neurological aspects of their visual function.
