Susan Wiltrakis, MD

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics

Susan May Wiltrakis MD, FAAP, is an assistant professor of pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. She is a graduate of Valparaiso University and earned her medical degree from University of Alabama at Birmingham. She completed her pediatric residency and chief residency at Washington University in St. Louis/St. Louis Children’s Hospital before completing fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) at Emory University. She joined the faculty at Washington University in St. Louis in 2021 and serves as the associate fellowship director for the PEM Fellowship.

She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and American College of Emergency Physicians and received simulation instructor training at the Center for Medical Simulation in Boston. Her research interests includes the intersection of simulation education and patient safety/quality improvement, in addition to medical education curriculum development.
