Jay Malone, MD, PhD, HEC-C

Associate Professor of Pediatrics

Jay Malone, MD, PhD, HEC-C, is an assistant professor of pediatric critical care medicine at Washington University School of Medicine. He earned bachelor’s and medical degrees from the University of Oklahoma, where he also completed pediatric residency and chief residency. His fellowship training, in critical care medicine, was completed at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. He holds a master’s degree in health care ethics from Creighton University, and earned a PhD in health care ethics from St. Louis University, where he is an adjunct assistant professor of health care ethics. Malone serves as the medical director of ethics at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, where he also chairs the medical ethics committee.
