David Callahan, MD

Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics

David J. Callahan, MD, is Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis.  He is Section Head of General Pediatric Neurology in the Division of Pediatric and Developmental Neurology.  He earned Bachelor of Science degree from University of Notre Dame, and Medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine.  He completed internship in Pediatrics at Saint Louis Children’s Hospital, junior residency in Pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital, 1 year of fellowship in Newborn Medicine at Saint Louis Children’s Hospital, and Neurology/Pediatric Neurology fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine.  He worked in a busy Child Neurology practice for 27 years before joining the full-time faculty in the Department of Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine in 2019.
