Abby Rosenberg Johnson, MD, MPHS, FAAD, is an attending physician at the St. Louis VA Dermatology Clinic. She grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and earned her undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She moved to St. Louis in 2014 to attend Washington University School of Medicine, where she received her MD as well as a Master of Population Health Sciences. As a medical student, she was a member of the student government and co-founded the Dermatology Interest Group. Dr. Johnson went on to complete her dermatology training at Washington University, where she served as Chief Resident and participated in the Washington University Teaching Physician Pathway. She remains passionate about medical education and mentorship, and she enjoys working with Wash U residents and medical students at the VA. Dr. Johnson’s clinical interests include hair loss and psychocutaneous disorders.  Her research on melanoma, non-melanoma skin cancer, and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma has been published in several journals including the Journal of the American Academy of DermatologyBritish Journal of Dermatology, and JAMA Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. In her free time, Dr. Johnson enjoys painting, watching college basketball, and playing pickleball with her husband and their families.
