Robert L. Becker, MD
Voluntary Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Robert L. Becker, MD, a St. Louis native, recently retired as an assistant clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology. He earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis. His postgraduate training included one year as an intern in internal medicine and one year as a resident in OB-GYN at Barnes Hospital. He then spent two years at the National Institutes of Health, focused on endocrine research. He completed training at the University of California, San Francisco. He has authored/co-authored a number of papers and has received both local and national honors. He practiced OB-GYN for over 40 years, delivering babies right up to his retirement. During those years, he was involved in teaching and gave a number of grand round lectures. He now spends much more time with his family. He loves to travel, read, and exercise.
