
Jennifer Heeley, MD
Jennifer Heeley, MD, is an assistant professor in the Division of Genetics and Genomic Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine, in the Department of Pediatrics. A St. Louis native, she earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from Washington University, and completed pediatrics and genetics residencies at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. After completion of training, she started a new medical genetics practice in a nearby regional health system. She was a solo practitioner for five years, but missed being a part of medical education so returned to Washington University.
Currently, Dr. Heeley is Program Director for the Medical Genetics and Genomics residency program at Washington University. Her research and clinical interests include identifying the underlying genetic causes for differences in sex development, and the development of new gene therapies.
Dr. Heeley’s hobbies outside of medicine include horseback riding, camping, and reading.
