Robert Moore, MD
Robert Moore, MD, earned his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in 2004 and is currently an assistant professor of pediatric anesthesiology at WashU Med. He joined the faculty at Washington University in 2009 following the completion of both residency and fellowship at Columbia University in New York. He is on staff at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and serves as the anesthesiologist-in-chief at Shriner’s Hospital for Children in St. Louis.
Moore is interested in the management of pediatric acute pain and the provision of regional analgesia. He has a particular focus on quality improvement, care of children with significant neurologic diseases and the management of the difficult pediatric airway. He is also interested in the application of high-fidelity patient simulation for educational purposes. He teaches medical school courses that employ simulation to demonstrate both cardiovascular and respiratory physiologic principles. He serves as moderator for the critical skills in anesthesia course (MOCA) offered at the university.
