Max S. Rosen, MD

Assistant Professor of Psychiatry

Max Rosen, MD, is a clinical assistant professor in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry within the Department of Psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine. Originally from Washington, D.C, he earned undergraduate degrees in classics and biology at Washington University in St. Louis. He took a gap-year conducting basic science research before matriculating at Washington University School of Medicine. Here, he graduated from the MD program in 2015 with AOA distinction. He then decided to complete his adult psychiatry residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, during which he received the Resident of the Year Award, in recognition of his commitment to medical student education and teaching. He then continued to complete his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at WUSM/St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Since graduating, he has joined the WUSM faculty, devoting time to both outpatient child and adolescent psychiatry as well as serving as the clerkship director for the Phase 2 Psychiatry Clerkship. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, cheering on local and DC sports teams, cooking, and reading both historical fiction and “big history” books.
