Marcia J. McCabe, PhD
Marcia McCabe, PhD, a clinical psychologist, is an associate professor in psychiatry and the director of psychotherapy training for the psychiatry residency program. She is a recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award in the Department of Psychiatry. Her clinical interests include the practice of psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and its innovations, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. In addition to teaching and clinical practice, McCabe has served as an expert in legal cases involving claims of emotional injury. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Washburn University and her master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
