Kerri Ohman, MD

Kerri A. Ohman, MD, is an assistant professor of surgery at Washington University School of Medicine. She specializes in colon and rectal surgery with clinical interests in the surgical management of colon, rectal, and anal cancers as well as benign conditions. 

She received her bachelor’s degree in cellular and molecular biology as well as a minor in Spanish from the University of Michigan in 2008 and her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in 2012. She then completed a residency in general surgery at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine, where she also completed a research fellowship in surgical oncology, studying cancer-selective drug therapy and serving as administrative chief resident in her final year. Following graduation from residency, she then completed additional training with a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Barnes-Jewish Hospital /Washington University School of Medicine before joining the Washington University faculty in 2020. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and Association of Women Surgeons. 

Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her children and husband (Dr. Westley Ohman, a vascular surgeon at Washington University School of Medicine) and their two dogs.
