Christopher Lewis, MD
Christopher Lewis, MD, is an associate professor in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology. He earned his undergraduate degree in microbiology at Texas A&M University and his medical degree from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He completed his residency in pediatrics at SUNY Stony Brook and a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology from Washington University in St. Louis.
During his fellowship, with the support of the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology, he cultivated his passion for transgender health and founded the Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, as well as the Differences of Sex Development Clinic. His work was recently recognized by the Human Rights Campaign in its fight for LGBTQIA equality, after being voted as its 2017 Human Rights Campaign Equality Award recipient.
He is an avid outdoors enthusiast and loves to hike, camp and travel.
