Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology

Catherine Krucylak, MD, is currently an assistant professor of anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine and a pediatric anesthesiologist at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Shriner’s Hospital for Children-St. Louis.  Her practice is geared toward clinical instructing and mentoring.  Her primary interests are in the management of the difficult pediatric airway, the patient with complex cardiac comorbidity and the preoperative optimization of the patient with significant comorbidities.

She joined the faculty at WashU Med in 1993 after a year on staff at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. Her pediatric anesthesiology fellowship training was at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).  She completed a pediatric residency at CHOP, followed by training in anesthesiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Her undergraduate and medical degrees were earned from Rutgers University and Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.

Krucylak enjoys cooking, traveling and time spent with family.
